The College of New Jersey, Ewing Township dining room Tradition’s, has a part-time Grill Cook opening with Sodexo. The Grill Cook must be extremely driven and willing to work hard in our fast - paced environment. Prospective applicants must be conscientious, dependable, and effective teachers. Experience working in restaurants is required and a strong focus on development is important. The Grill Cook is responsible for the day-to-day operations online and production service. Utilizes expertise in frying, grilling, and sautéing to prepare, season, and cook meats and vegetables. Capable of choosing recipes for each menu cycle, creating baked goods, receiving inventory, moving and lifting food and supplies, and preparing meals for customers with particular dietary needs. Follows and takes part in all business safety and risk management policies and procedures, including training and Hazard Assessments.
Position Available and will Remain Open until Filled
Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: to include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
